Creedmoor police have identified the man killed in Saturday’s shooting and are offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest in the case.

Creedmoor police on Monday identified the victim as 27-year-old Charles Tryon Royster Jr. of Creedmoor.

Officers responded just after 4:15 p.m. Saturday to a reported shooting at a home on Irving Place. When they arrived, they found Royster with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite lifesaving efforts, he died at the scene.

Investigators are still working to determine what led to the shooting. Police said they are also looking into the relationship between the people involved as part of the ongoing investigation. The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation is assisting with the case.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Creedmoor Police Department at 919-528-1515 or Granville County CrimeStoppers at 919-693-3100. A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
