Recall: Nearly 11,500 Panasonic electric toaster ovens over a risk of shock

Panasonic is recalling nearly 11,500 electric toaster ovens over a risk of shock.

The recall posted July 16 states "the power cord insulation can be insufficient due to a protective fiberglass sleeve not covering it adequately, posing a risk of shock and/or fire hazard."

The recall applies to the Panasonic Model No. NB-G200 Electric Toaster Oven. The product was sold at Amazon.com, Costco.com, Panasonic.com and other websites between October 2024 and April 2026 for about $170.

The recall comes after four customers reported tripped circuit breakers or outlets, and one reported that the product stopped working. No fires or injuries have been reported.

Consumers should stop using the recalled product immediately and contact Panasonic for a full refund by calling Panasonic toll-free at 888-943-2391 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or emailing at Panasonic6895@sedgwick.com.
