A baby is in the forecast for WRAL's Kat Campbell

The WRAL family is growing again.

Kat Campbell has been craving sweets, and her pup Jazzy is in nesting mode. The forecast is for a baby, coming in December for Kat and husband Jack.

The WRAL meteorologist announced her pregnancy July 20.

"Jazzy definitely knows something is up," Campbell said. "She has begun 'nesting' and protecting my bed all day when I'm at work. She never did this until a few weeks into my pregnancy."

Jazzy will be a big sister when Kat Campbell welcomes her first child in December 2026.

Mom and baby are feeling fine, and the entire WRAL family is excited for this early Christmas gift. The baby, a girl, is due in December.

Campbell says while her baby bump isn't yet obvious, her cravings are. She's been making regular stops at the WRAL candy jar.

"I'm a salty snacks person usually, so this is very unusual for me," she said.
