Posted: 6/7/2026, 9:17:13 PM

For the first time, Jordan is the No. 1 team in the HighSchoolOT boys tennis statewide rankings.

The statewide top 25, presented by the State Employees' Credit Union, has been around for six years. The Falcons, who won the 8A title, end the season as a No. 1 team for the first time in any sport.

Right behind Providence were fellow conference teams Green Level and Green Hope, the latter the 8A state runner-up, then 7A champ Grimsley and 8A West regional runner-up Ardrey Kell.

In total, eight state champions finished the year in the top 25, including: 5A champ Western Alamance (10th), 4A champ Carrboro (11th), NCISAA D2 champ Davidson Day (12th), 6A champ T.C. Roberson (16th), NCISAA D1 champ Durham Academy (17th), and 3A champ Pine Lake Prep (25th).

All other NCHSAA and NCISAA state champs were ranked in the area code top 15 rankings. The No. 1 teams in their respective area codes were: D.H. Conley (252), Jordan (919), Southeastern Cardinals (Homeschool) (910), Grimsley (336), Ardrey Kell (704), and T.C. Roberson (828).

The HighSchoolOT top 25 is the state's top set of rankings, featuring teams from all classifications across the four major associations.
