S. Saunders Street reopens in Raleigh after car crashes into utility pole

A crash closed a portion of South Saunders Street in Raleigh early Monday morning.

Police said the car hit a utility pole at the South Dawson Street intersection before crossing a median and rolling over.

The WRAL Breaking News Tracker was on the scene as crews responded to the crash. A traffic light and utility pole could be seen knocked down on the road.

The new utility pole was installed by 6:15 a.m., and the traffic signal was working again. The road reopened around 6:30 a.m.

Police said the driver suffered minor injuries in the crash.
