Girl shot overnight in Durham has serious injuries

A child was shot overnight in Durham, police confirm.

Around 1 a.m., officers responded to a shooting along Hoover Road, near Angier Avenue. A girl was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Durham police said the girl is in stable condition.

An investigation is ongoing. No suspect information was released.
