Family raising generations of Caniacs has to choose who goes to the Stanley Cup Final games

Kristi and Stuart White were dating when they went to every Carolina Hurricanes home game of the 2005-2006 season.

Together, the pair watched the Canes hoist the Stanley Cup. That was before marriage and before children.

A lot has happened since then, including raising two Caniacs – Cullen and Logan.

One thing has stayed the same: The Whites have maintained their two season tickets to the Carolina Hurricanes.

But as a family of four, deciding who gets to go to the Stanley Cup Final home games is not easy.

“We felt like our kids needed to maybe experience Game 1,” Stuart White said.

Logan and Cullen attended Game 1, while Stuart and Kristi watched from the South Plaza with the hoards of other Canes fans.

But this family also has two tickets to Game 7. Who gets to go to that game?

“It is a very hot debate in our house,” Kristi White said. “I’m personally hoping the Canes get it done before then so I don’t have to make that decision.”

Regardless of who gets to be inside, this is a series and a team that’s giving the whole family memories of a lifetime.
