Stanley Cup Final Game 3 watch party at Lenovo Center sold out

For those hoping to make the Carolina Hurricanes' first Stanley Cup Final appearance in decades a memorable experience, the home of the Canes is lending a hand.

The team will host watch parties for all road games for the Stanley Cup Final at Lenovo Center. Hurricanes said that tickets for the road game watch parties will start at $10, with proceeds from ticket sales going to the Carolina Hurricanes Foundation.

Game 3 watch party sold out

For the first of those games -- Game 3 in Vegas Saturday at 8 p.m. -- tickets to watch at Lenovo Center are sold out. Tickets cost $10 and parking at Lenovo Center is free. 

The Hurricanes will play Game 2 against the Vegas Golden Knights at Lenovo Center  before heading to Las Vegas for Games 3 and 4. Carolina lost Game 1, 5-4, on Tuesday.

The Canes will be on the road for the following games of the series:

  • Game 3: Saturday, June 6, 8 p.m.
    • Game 4: Tuesday, June 9, 8 p.m.
      • Game 6 (if necessary): Sunday, June 14, 8 p.m.
        Caniacs gather: Watch parties in Raleigh

        While tickets for the Hurricanes' home games for the Stanley Cup Final reached more than $1,000, the team is also hosting outdoor watch parties on the South Plaza of Lenovo Center during those games. 

        The team said about 3,000 people watched Tuesday's Game 1 from the parking lot.

        "We think there will be more poeple out there tonight," Brian Fork, CEO of the Hurricanes, said ahead of Game 2.

        Country duo Dan + Shay will headline that outdoor party during Game 2 on Thursday. 

        Parking at Lenovo Center is free on road game days, but fan who want to park on-site for the home game watch parties still need to pay to park.

        The team also said the following items would not be permitted at the home game watch parties:

        • Outside food and drinks.
          • Chairs.
            • Weapons.
              • Illegal substances.

                The Lenovo Center watch parties will not the be the only ones during the Canes' first trip to the Stanley Cup Final in 20 years. Downtown Raleigh Alliance said it would host watch parties at Moore Square for the first two games of the series on Tuesday and Thursday, and several Raleigh businesses will show the games.
