At least 2 children killed, another child hospitalized in Fayetteville crash

A deadly crash claimed at least two children and another seriously hurt late Wednesday night in Fayetteville. 

Fayetteville Police responded to Cedar Creek Road near Fields Road around 11 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a white sedan mangled around a tree. Three children and a woman were reported inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. 

Two of the children under the age of 10 were killed in the incident, according to officials. A third child was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The age of that child is still unknown. 

The driver of the vehicle was also hurt and but she is expected to recover. 

Cedar Creek Road was closed for several hours as investigators collected evidence at the scene.
