Two men arrested, accused of stealing nearly $28K worth of electronics from FedEx

Two men accused of embezzling nearly $28K worth of electronics from FedEx appeared in court for the first time on Thursday.

Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office arrested Christopher Allen Webb, 24, and Jahon Donnell Scott, 25, on Wednesday. During Thursday’s court appearance, both men were appointed a public defender.

Deputies said they first received reports on Monday that two employees had embezzled property from FedEx. After investigating, deputies said $27,901.95 worth of electronics had been stolen from the delivery trucks.

Both men face several charges and are being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center.

Webb was charged with felony conspiracy, possession of stolen goods/property and embezzlement. Scott was charged with felony conspiracy, possession of stolen goods/property and embezzlement.
